Position: Field Service Technician
Located: Hopewell, VA
Pay: $70-$80k Base Salary
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance for our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems and provide effective solutions
- Fabricate and install parts as needed
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Utilize logic controllers to analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments
- Conduct high voltage electrical work in accordance with safety protocols
- Perform stick welding for equipment repairs
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial machinery
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with logic controllers and analyzing equipment performance
- Previous experience as an industrial electrician or field service technician is preferred
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
- PLC's and HMI's troubleshooting
- Proficient in stick welding techniques for equipment repairs
- Familiarity with high voltage electrical work is a plus
